Youth Bible Studies

Pre - Teen Bible Study (5th and 6th grades)

The 5th and 6th grades meet on Sunday mornings for prayer, food, and fellowship, as well as Bible Study, and this year we are "Earning our Fishing License". Come join us as we study how we earn our Fishers of Men License per the Word of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

 

Confirmation (7th and 8th grades)

Confirmation classes begin for youth entering 7th and 8th grades who are interested in learning about the Lutheran Doctrine and/or wanting to become members of the Lutheran Church.  Classes meet every Monday (September through May) at 4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.  Classes do not meet on holidays or during school breaks.  This class is taught by Pastor Augie.  If you would like to attend this class or need more information, please contact the Church Office, 702-645-4998.

 

Jr. and Sr. High Bible Study (7th - 12th grades)

Students want real answers to hard questions, and those answers are found in the Word of God.  Our Jr./Sr. High School students will be searching through the Gospel-driven Bible Study, "Real Deal Bible Study Series', to find out that God's Word is the real source of information for their lives.  Each 12 week study covers different issues to give real help to teenagers dealing with real issues:

  • Life Issues - Includes forgiveness, accountability, modesty, thinking for yourself, risk taking, justice/fairness just to name a few.
  • School Issues - Looks at topics such as school violence, competition, cliques, cheating, and religious rights.
  • Faith Issues - Checks into faith challenges, elements of worship, Lutheranism, religious rites, interpreting Scripture and other issues.
  • Personal Issues - Looks at tattooing / body piercing, self-image, eating disorders, suicide, college / career and more.
  • Temptation Issues - Looks at such issues as sexual boundaries, pornography, profanity, media, shame.
  • Family issues - Studies relating to parents, getting along, blended nontraditional families, family environment, blame, mentors.
  • World Issues - Begins to deal with homosexuality / alternative lifestyles, abortion, natural disasters, UFO's and Scripture, environment and more.
