LWML

lwmlLutheran Women's Missionary League

The Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML) is the official women's auxiliary of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.  For over 65 years the LWML has focused on affirming each woman's relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to support global missions.

The Lamb of God LWML meets regularly on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall, and women of all age groups who are confirmed members of Lamb of God are welcome.

Our LWML enthusiastically sponsors the Loving Stitches group, which meets the third Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall for such worthy projects as preparing homeless bags, baptismal banners, and blankets for the ill or newborn.  We also sponsor a Scrapbooking group which meets the last Sunday of each month from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
Mite Box
We raise funds in a variety of ways for a number of mission projects.  One of those ways is with our "Mite Boxes" where each person collects bills and coins.  There is a big purple box in the Church Narthex and, on the third Sunday of the month, the Mite Boxes of many individuals are dropped into the large box.

A major fund raising event is our annual "Trash to Treasure" Parking Lot Sale in the Fall of the year, in which contributions of clothing, household goods, and furniture are donated and sold to the public. Included is the opportunity for those who wish to rent a space to market their wares.

One of our delightful events is our "Annual Spuds and Splits", when we have a Baked Potato Bar with Banana Splits for dessert and lots of fun besides.

We also have the pleasure of meeting citywide with other Lutheran women and in District Meetings, where we get to meet so many wonderful women who are dedicated to the cause of Christ.

Look for our flyer in the informational rack located in the Church Narthex.
